February 20

““And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.” (Matthew 6:5 NKJV)

In this verse there is an assumption we will pray. First Jesus teaches us how not to pray. Notice once again the word hypocrite is used for those who do something for their own glory rather than for God’s glory.

Your prayer

Give God thanks for what you have.

Praise God for who He is.

Ask for God to use you today.
