11/26/2022 Ps alm 79:13 So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations. Throughout the Bible we see many who were shepherds and references to sheep. The glorious God created us as His sheep and is our Good Shepherd.

11/ 2 4 /2022 “«A Psalm of Thanksgiving.» Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.” (Ps alm 100:1-5 NKJV) Giving thanks is the door to praise and praise entry to the presence of the glorious God!!!

11/23/2022 1Ch ronicles 16:34 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. If we are not careful Thanksgiving can get lost with Halloween and the rush to Christmas but Christmas can be lost to getting and wanting without giving thanks. If we take time to be thankful to God for what we do have Christmas can be a time of sharing what we have been blessed with. We can share the God we are thankful for!!!

11/22/2022 Hab akkuk 3:3 ¶ God came from Teman, The Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah His glory covered the heavens, And the earth was full of His praise. God’s glory covers the heavens. What does it mean? Habakkuk cries out to God for allowing evil at every level of Israel. How can God allow evil? We are allowed front row seats to a prayer conversation ending with Habakkuk declaring he will rejoice in the glorious God no matter what. If you are always looking at the evil surrounding you look up and see the sea of stars and the floating cloud ships reminding us of the power and glory of The Creator.

11/21/2022 Da niel 11:39 “Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain. If you think you understand God be assured you are wrong. Throughout the Bible and our lives God to us allows too much and gives too much. Why does sin seem to have so much power? Why are the weak abused and harmed? Why do God’s people suffer? The beginning of wisdom says, I don’t know but God does.

11/18/2022 Eze kiel 43:2 And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east. His voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shone with His glory. The sun rises in the East and reminds us everyday of the resurrection of the Son who brings life and God’s glory to us. In the Son the earth continuously shines with the glory of the glorious God.

11/17/2022 Eze kiel 31:18 ‘To which of the trees in Eden will you then be likened in glory and greatness? Yet you shall be brought down with the trees of Eden to the depths of the earth; you shall lie in the midst of the uncircumcised, with those slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his multitude,’ says the Lord GOD.” The glory of all kingdoms comes from God. But what about evil and corrupt kingdoms and rulers? Does God glorify them? The truth is a corrupt and evil ruler is better than the chaos which comes when any ruler falls. The poor and weak become prey for the strong who have little or no conscience. Pray for your ruler lest you become prey!

11/15/2022 Eze kiel 10:19 And the cherubim lifted their wings and mounted up from the earth in my sight. When they went out, the wheels were beside them; and they stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD’S house, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them. The glory of God is above the angels and His people and God glorifies us so we can bring glory to the glorious God. Like the wheels, God’s people are continually moving and sharing the glorious God, glorifying God by our faithfulness and service.

11/14/2022 Eze kiel 9:3 Now the glory of the God of Israel had gone up from the cherub, where it had been, to the threshold of the temple. And He called to the man clothed with linen, who had the writer’s inkhorn at his side; Glory is not something that just comes from God, but God is the source of all glory! God’s glory flows to people like Ezekiel and us and we can then glorify God!

11/12/2022 Jer emiah 13:16 Give glory to the LORD your God Before He causes darkness, And before your feet stumble On the dark mountains, And while you are looking for light, He turns it into the shadow of death And makes it dense darkness. Jesus revealed He is the Light of the world. Only as we seek and proclaim the glory of God can we walk in and with the light.

11/11/2022 Isa iah 62:3 You shall also be a crown of glory In the hand of the LORD, And a royal diadem In the hand of your God. Today is Veterans Day and we remember the debt we owe to those who serve and have served to protect us. Their sacrifice and efforts are a human wall of protection from evil nations who would bring chaos and destruction. The people of God are called to not only be a human, but also a spiritual wall of protection from the evil around and within us. Those who seek to serve and protect are a blessing to others and a crown in the hand of the glorious God!!!

11/10/2022 Isa iah 61:6 But you shall be named the priests of the LORD, They shall call you the servants of our God. You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, And in their glory you shall boast. When God’s people are in persecution or struggling because of weak faith God promises those who serve Him will live off the power and provision of those who do not follow God.

11/2/2022 “ Hard times come again no more. ” This is part of a song which was popular in the American Civil War but also speaks to most times in history and to many people. We must be honest and realize hard times is not a time but a season in our lives so we can realize hope our daily need for the glorious God. Even those without God receive the order and power of the Creator in creation. When hard times come know God can renew and grow you in and through them.

11/1/2022 To the world we have gone from evil and candy to preparing our lists of what we want for Christmas. Many congregations no longer celebrate All Saints Day where yearly we celebrate those who have died and are seeing Jesus face to face. All Saints Day is a time for community grief and celebration of the hope of our resurrection. This day is a reminder death has not just a personal but also impacts family, congregational and community. All Saints Day is a celebration of hope, grace, life and the glory of God!!!
