Prayer for today

Today I thank You for the blessings You have so graciously provided for my family. Creation worships You as the stars singing and the whales singing and the birds singing join together with all of Creation in worship and praise.

May those who scream and cry out see Your glory and power and know You are with them and will see them through. Lord, give them Your hope to overcome despair so they can realize they are not alone and their life and even the horror they are going through has meaning.

I pray for those who out of greed push even legal drugs and destroy lives, families and communities. I pray for those who are addicted and slowly lose their humanity and go from a drug user to become the drug where they exist only for the drug.

Like Your Church from the beginning, we struggle with many heresies which sap our strength and confuse those who need You. Those who seek can become confused by the heresies which confuse Christians.
