Count Your Blessings

When upon life’s billows you are tempest-tossed,

When we are not in control
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,

When we have lost hope
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,

REMEMBER every blessing of God in your life
And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.

Your hope will be strengthened

1. Are you ever burdened with a load of care?

   Are you weakened and burdened by worry
   Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?

   Are you burdened by God's calling for you
   Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,

   Remembering every good thing will strengthen faith
   And you will keep singing as the days go by.

Sing songs of praise and hope – like this one

3. When you look at others with their lands and gold,

   Are you lusting after what others have
   Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
   Remember the eternal wealth God has promised

   Count your many blessings—*money cannot buy [*wealth can never buy]
   Count God's blessings for you which are beyond cost

   Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.

Celebrate the blessing of eternal life with God!!!

4. So, amid the conflict whether great or small,

   No matter what you have to face
   Do not be discouraged, God is over all;

   Remember God is greater than what you face
   Count your many blessings, angels will attend,

   Counting blessings opens you to the healing of heaven
   Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.

   Heavenly and earthly angels will bless you
