Baptism – washing and cleansing from sin. Receiving the Holy Spirit.

Baptism can be done in three ways in the Church.

  1. Immersion – plunged under to die spiritually and raise up to new life.

  2. Sprinkling – the blood of Jesus sprinkled on us as the blood of the sacrifice was sprinkled on the altar in the Old Testament.

  3. Pouring – as the Holy Spirit is poured on us.


Holy Communion – to receive the communion of the Holy Spirit. Receiving the Cup of Blessing rather than the Cup of God's Wrath.

Then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, “Sit here while I pray.””

And He took Peter, James, and John with Him, and He began to be troubled and deeply distressed.”

Foot Washing -

So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you?”
