““Who is there even among you who would shut the doors, So that you would not kindle fire on My altar in vain? I have no pleasure in you,” Says the LORD of hosts, “Nor will I accept an offering from your hands.” (Malachi 1:10 NKJV)
Does Gods fire burn in your heart
Do you shut the doors to be apart
Do you seek God with your heart
Do you want from God not to part
What has God offered to you today?
What offering does God desire from you?
When Jesus comes to town
Used canes go on sale cheap!
Slightly used coffins are available!
Celebration abounds as water becomes wine!
The depressed and possessed rejoice!
People see creation and their loved ones faces for the first time!
The proud and religious are humbled to grace!
Sinners stand and tell of God’s goodness and forgiveness!
Children, some for the first time, know they are loved!
Women are valued and serve as ministers of grace!
Men find strength to be husbands, dads and servants!
Value is seen in all suffering because God uses suffering to redeem!
Community is built as people learn to love as they are loved!
Swords are turned into implements to harvest God’s fields!
Houses become homes and homes become places of worship!
“Them” becomes those we need to share the love of Jesus with!
Chains of sin and addiction fall away and souls are set free!
Valleys in life become paths to mountain tops of Glory!
Hope and love become the most common four letter words!
The unclean and the outcast are freed to live a Godly life!
Sadly, when Jesus comes to town evil intensifies, darkness lashes out at God’s children because evil is too cowardly to attack their Father and the demons seek to deafen ears, blind eyes and darken hearts!
And finally, when Jesus comes to town He lives in their hearts until they come to live forever with God!

Christ – mass
What to my wondering eyes appear
not a sleigh with eight flying reindeer
Bethlehem means a place of bread
and here is born heaven’s Bread
THE Child promised to Adam and Eve
God’s gift to those who will receive
A star through darkness shining bright
guiding those who come to THE Light
Shepherd’s astounded by heavenly choir
leave behind their sheep and warm fire
Mary and Joseph look at face of God!
Count toes and fingers of their God!
Shepherd’s join with others in awe
wondering if Child of hope they saw
Magi begin journey guided by the star
THE Child grows up as Magi journey far
Child walks on His Creation on tiny feet
the Magi arrive and their God do meet
More wondrous than Santa and reindeer
God as Child to redeem Creation is here!
Mary and Joseph grow weary
Walk with others for safety
So much can stop the birth
Angels and demons battle
The Child rides within fluid
Mary provides gentle warmth
The Father encourages the Child
As father Joseph protects God
We grow weary of our journey
Will we settle for worlds light
Will we miss birth of the Light
Rise up to continue the journey
The wind blows whispering through the trees
leaves as chords form a quiet choir and sing
roots, trunk and branches reach up in praise
rain and hail play percussion on the roof
lightning adds light show with sun and moon
thunder claps adding deep percussion to praise
snow pirouettes dancing like a graceful ballerina
Birds unique songs join and become one voice
winter’s timely death prepares for coming life
spring’s palette paints resurrection’s new life
summer’s seed grows God’s provision for life
fall bursts with glowing colors of changing life
birth begins steady march toward coming death
through offering of Jesus life overcomes death
first steps brings joy casts out thoughts of death
growing up exposed to loved ones loss by death
Why do I feel so weary
not just being tired
but something deeper
it is something more
Sleep helps a little
but the weariness
it is beyond sleep
deeper than sleep
Weariness of pain
Weariness of meds
Weariness of loss
Weariness of soul
Others are sorry
but I cannot be
my pain is earned
my pain is deserved
