How can one believe in God in Sudan

How can one believe in God in a slave ship

How can one believe in God in the Gulag

How can one believe in God in the fiery furnace

How can one believe in God in sexual slavery

How can one believe in God in depressions despair

How can one believe in God in war torn Iraq

How can one believe in God in deaths embrace

How can one believe in God without any hope


To not believe in God doesn’t remove a pain or stain

Believing in God brings hope in the midst of our pain
