I take one step forward

lust pulls me back

I take one step forward

doubt pulls me back

I take one step forward

fear pulls me back

I take one step forward

anger pulls me back


By God's grace

I take two steps forward

lust pulls me back one

I take one step forward

doubt pulls me back one

I take one step forward

fear pulls me back one

I take one step forward

anger pulls me back one


Like one fighting the wind

is how my life seems to be

Without God and His grace

I remain sliding in place

With God and His grace

I slowly move forward

Do not live stuck in place

Let God free you to life
