Grace must be received as well as given. There is an old story about a wealthy Methodist merchant who every week would go into debtor’s prison and pay their debt so a person could be set free. One day he offered to pay a man’s debt and they refused declaring they would pay their own debt. The merchant went away sad and the man died in a prison of his own pride. Discover the joy of receiving grace and the joy of offering grace.

From my Grace Journal. It was suggested to start a Grace Journal as a reminder of our need not for agreement but grace to guide our relationships.
