“But Jesus said, “Let her alone; she has kept this for the day of My burial.” (John 12:7 NKJV)

When a person died the body was wrapped in cloth with ointments and spices put between the layers. This was very expensive and families would have to save for them. Could it be Mary used the fragrant oil that was left over from the burial of Lazarus?
