“He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.” (John 1:8 NKJV)

John the baptist (not the denomination) was sent to be a witness of that Light. Not just a Light but the Light who came before the sun, moon and stars. Jesus was announced and witnessed about to all who need redemption – which is all of us!
