“But this I say, brethren, the time is short, so that from now on even those who have wives should be as though they had none, those who weep as though they did not weep, those who rejoice as though they did not rejoice, those who buy as though they did not possess, and those who use this world as not misusing it. For the form of this world is passing away.” (1 Corinthians 7:29-31 NKJV)



            “For the form of this world is passing away.”  

            We are called to bear the burden of saving our world!  We must save the world for it is our home!  We must save the world because it is all that is!

            WHAT A LIE!!!  This world, indeed the entire universe was created to hold life.  Life is the only eternal thing and our life can only be saved by God!  But our time is short and the time we have to receive God’s salvation is short!

            The bible teaches us that there will be a new Heaven and a new earth.  Why?  Because Heaven was tainted by the angelic fall and earth has been tainted by human fall.  Sin has destroyed everything but God and we are left sitting in our own mess needing to be changed like a baby.  We cry and weep for someone to change us.

            When we cry out to God we are changed and become cleansed and become eternal and able to come into God’s presence!  And as we are changed so is our way of looking at life as God reveals to us He is the source!

            We now have a different urgency that is not only beyond this dying world but is also higher!  We do many of the same things but they no longer bind us and become a weight that destroys not only our happiness but even our joy.

            We seek the eternal things of true Life and seek to bring others to God and to true Life!  We seek not to save this world but to allow ourselves to be part of God saving the Lives of those who also are passing away.

            Are you trying to save the world and to save your life?  Are you weighed down by the many things of the world?  Are you willing to let all that go and receive all God has to offer you?



            Today is a better day.  I believe the new meds to help my stomach and the twitching are helping and I can rest better.  Still weak and still hurting but much more at a level I can endure.

September 3, 2017 Sunday             Even after a long Saturday I was able to go to Asbury and receive Communion and to worship my Lord and My Love.   We stayed for Sunday School and Peggy had a great lesson from Dr Kalas’ book Parables From the Backside Volume 2 .   A great class, a great teacher and a great book.               In the afternoon I tried to sleep but just was able to rest some.   VERY worn out by being so busy but it was good.   Bonnie remembers when we would visit Gramps, her grandfather; he would say that he would enjoy the memory of our visit for weeks.   Now I understand what he meant.   So many wonderful memories nourish me every day.

May 19, 2017 Looking back             As weeks turned to months the memories grew and even connected together.  A dark memory from my time in the Navy connected with a dark memory from my childhood.  Each one as I explained to my counselor and to Bonnie had a “ghost” with it.  A person who seemed to haunt my life.  Watching the news connected to a memory and suddenly I could smell, taste and see the memory and it became more real than my daily life.              At the same time I was growing weaker and the pain in the body was increasing.  There was a general weakness that began in my fingers and toes and moved upward more rapidly in my legs than arms.  The cramps became an agony and happened at least two times a night.  Lasting for about an hour each time I became more and more sleep deprived even with my C-Pap machine.             I contacted my Staff Pastor Parish Relations person and the District Superintendent to let them know about the trouble I was having as I was sl
