“Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices Will be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.”” (Isaiah 56:7 NKJV)

Those who God loves we must not reject – even them

Open the door of our sanctuaries to them – even them

Open the door of our heart temple to them – even them

For we may be the them to others – we can also be a then

Prayerful question: Do I for all to know God's grace and redeeming love – even them?

““Go and tell Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the LORD, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will add to your days fifteen years.” (Isaiah 38:5 NKJV)

Hezekiah was faithful to God

but he did not want to die

Hezekiah sulked on his bed

so God increased his years

Hezekiah changed then

passing guilt to his children

Hezekiah is the living proof

we can live too long on earth

Prayerful question: Do I seek the fullness of my days rather than the length of years as I pray?

“‘It may be that the LORD your God will hear the words of the Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to reproach the living God, and will rebuke the words which the LORD your God has heard. Therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.’”” (Isaiah 37:4 NKJV)

Hear the cries of Your people God

Hear the curses of Your enemies

Hear those seeking to reproach God

Hear those seeking to harm God's people

Prayerful question: Does my prayer seek to bring help and hope to God's people and redemption to God's enemies?

Thanksgiving is a blessing to keep me grounded

Only by being thankful for what I have received

can I approach Christmas with a joyous spirit

May I experience Christmas with thanksgiving

If we are not thankful for what we have we will never enjoy what we get!

“LORD, in trouble they have visited You, They poured out a prayer when Your chastening was upon them.” (Isaiah 26:16 NKJV)

Do I only pray when I am in trouble

Do I not care about just talking with You

Do I consider God so unimportant to me

Will I cry out to God in the good times

Prayerful question: Do I pray the full spectrum of my emotions and feelings I experience?

Tis the season for veterans all

It is also a reminder of my fall

Bloody corpses fill my mind

Flames of destruction do bind

Weariness leeches my soul

Feel my life is out of control

Spinning soul to spinning mind

Fear of falling places in bind

Seeing death wrapped in life

Builds a heart filled with strife

My soul shredded by strife

Pieces part separate in life

My mind wont stay still

Weary from applying will

Chasing thoughts thicken

Am I chasing a chicken

It seems worse but usual

Is this to be my new usual

Am I being broken into bits

Am I losing all of my wits

Help me not to lose my way

It seems I will go away

Help me not to go astray

I fear I will fall away

Has God blocked my prayer

Has God turned away from me

Does God hate to hear my prayer

God meets me in my Gethsemane

Prayerful question: Do I prepare myself for prayer as I realize how amazing it is God wants to converse with me?
